CECHA01 PS3 with CECHH01 Blu-Ray drive? Here's a fun problem I found myself trying to fix. Long story short, I ordered a replacement laser for my CECHA01 model PS3 only to discover it appears to have a replacement drive that is labeled as one for a CECHH01 PS3 with the dual laser diodes. How normal/abnormal is something like this? There are two 80GB PS3 models. The CECHE 80GB model is backwards compatible with PS2 games. It used a similar setup to the CECHC model, using software emulation for the Emotion Engine and RAMBUS memory but also using the PS2 GPU the Graphics Synthesiser. The CECHE was only released in SOME NTSC regions for a limited time.
