Jan 3, 2022 at 2:28 PM. I had a sweep at around 10am Thursday . I was 38+6. 4cm dilated 80% effaced. I began to lose more of my mucus plug around 5pm, and went for a walk. Next day at 39 weeks, I felt nothing. Took a nap and woke up at about 3:15pm with back pain and contractions. I waited about 20 mins to time contractions.Unfortunately this means almost nothing helpful! With my first child I was exactly this (1cm and 70% effaced) at just before 37 weeks, and I didn't go into labor until 39+3. I was 3-4cm with my second child for almost three weeks before I finally went into labor (again at 39+3). I was 35/36 or so weeks with him and was dilated to 3 CM. He wasn't born until 39+5 weeks. I was 5 CM at 39 weeks. And here I am in a similar spot again- 35.5 weeks- 3 CM, 70-75% effaced. I posted the other day about losing my mucus plug. You ladies reassured me that it could be nothing since I'm only 35 weeks.
