Thats usually a linkage issue. Ours do it also. Usually if u go to reverse then back forward it will completley come out of park. Not saying it cant happen but the 4020 is a very well built tractor and the powershift transmission in it is practically indestructible. I have a '68 model and it was doing the same thing.I pull my JD 535 baler with it on some fairly hilly ground no problem as well as I pull one of my JD 3100 5 bottom ploughs with it as well and it does great. ... So if the tractor sits long enough the pressure has enough time to go down (oil leaks out of pump to tank/transmission ).
