It's an automatic transmission. Couldn't raise or lower gears with the +/- buttons.

I have a 6-speed automatic transmission. The transmission went to 4th and skidded the tires significant enough to create smoke from the tires. Downshifting from 6th to 4th at 65 (or even 75+) mph shouldn't cause the tires to lock up. Replaced PCM, Torque converter, Pump Assy, cluthes (the 4 cluthes were not burnt, but did have metal grit stuck in the friction material) Installed new clutch and 4C clutch retainer was melted to the reverse flush cooler. You don't need to have them programmed either, swap and go, 2wd and 4wd use the same switch but you'd have to re-use the bezel and 4wd buttons if you pick up a 2wd switch.
