If you no longer want this map, all you need to do is go to the directory just described while the game is NOT running, open "animal_population_1" with a text editor, select all the text, hit delete to clear it, then save the now blank file. IMO Africa is the most dangerous. Africa has Lions, Warthogs and Cape Buffalo all of which have launched unprovoked attacks upon my person. Yukon Valley has been my favorite. Only complaint is that I wish it was longer. Imo, the African map has an amazing story line. Honestly all the dlc maps have good storylines. Thanks so much for the replies, excited to hear the other dlc maps has decent story missions as well and not just medved.Most maps have at least a handful of open areas. Verhonga Savanna is probably the most open of all the maps. There is still the 200 m draw distance, so I don't know how much difference it makes in the end. Note quite sure what all the talk about draw distance is about. I only have 2 bow perks (have tons of rifle perks) and I still do fine. My favorite bowhunting maps are Layton and Medved. Yukon is good too.
