John Deere 400 wiring diagram. Guys.. I've ordered all of the manuals for my 400 but till I get them I'm kinda pooched for troubleshooting a wiring issue. The ignition switch was faulty on the tractor when I got it and the PO had bypassed that part of the key circuit and used a plunger switch instead. The key was still used for on/off.Connect the wires: Refer to the wiring diagram or color-coded wires of your John Deere model to correctly connect the wires to the new PTO switch. Double-check that each wire is securely connected. Secure the PTO switch: Once all the wires are connected, securely mount the new PTO switch in its designated position.
