I have the Lone Wolf Sit and Climb with the wide flip top and also have the hand climber top. I took the sit bar off the wide top because I stand while climbing like you would with the hand climber top. Jul 18, 2016 · The Lone Wolf hand climber is awesome for this. Due to the slim profile all of the weight is directly against my back. This is a welcome change from my other stand a Summit Treestands Viper SD Climbing Treestand which pulls you backwards as you walk and can hit your ankles while crossing streams etc. I do that when climbing with my XOP hand climber, I'm in the tether all the way up, while hunting and back down. I don't think there are a whole lot of other situations that use the tether all the way up. I think most use a linemans belt for climbing. The steps are wider and curve upwards at the end of step on the XOP's, giving you better footing especially on a somewhat crooked tree. I think so many guys are chasing the dragon on being super light that a 21lb climber doesn't fit, that's why they're for sale. My lone wolf hand climber with a molle system is 19lbs. I can get a lwcg .5 and three tethrd one sticks and be sub 10! A better tree setup. Curious for those that have experience with one or both of these stands. They have near identical design and specs. The XOP is nearly half the cost but has some mixed quality reviews on the hardware. The Lone Wolf has a better reputation it seems, but is it twice as nice for twice the price...…

In no time was I up the pine, (without modifications) and ready to hunt. 30 minutes later, 2 doe came out and walked by at 20 yards.
