multifuel means just that - it'll run on just about any fuel you put in (diesel, jp8, kerosene, gasoline, etc) as long as you have at least 1/3 diesel in the mix. they did that when they had gasoline, aviation gas, and diesel in the army inventory. that way, you knew you always had fuel available for the trucks.
