The problematic Fitbit Charge 5 update ( v194.61) began its rollout at the end of June. Customers immediately reported their problems to Fitbit support. In response to Ninasharma. 04-22-202206:17. I had a black screen and tried to reset it 29 times and it won’t keep a charge. Customer service won’t help me as far as sending me out a new one. The one I sent back that doesn’t work is lost in the mail, stuck somewhere in Fed x land. It was only 5 months old. Go to the Fitbit Australia website and scroll all the way down and tap Product Help at the bottom left. That should take you to the Fitbit Support page for Australia.
The Fitbit Charge 2, Fitbit Inspire, Fitbit Inspire 2, Fitbit Charge 3 all seem to have longer lifespans than other Fitbits. They can last a couple of years, perhaps even longer if treated with care. The Versa 2, Flex, Charge 4, and Alta all seem to last somewhere between 16-18 months, so they might not be the best to purchase.
