Predator 212 governor removal top speed
So I'm working on our new Predator 212, and I just put on the Mikuni 22mm performance kit from go power sports. I have a header and PVL Flywheel (Offset Key also) as well, but I don't really want to get into cam, valve springs, and connecting rod at this point..BTW, since it is a 212cc on a Dingo with (assuming) 18" Tires you should be using a Torque Converter. If a 30 series with 6" Driven pulley, it will have a 10% overdrive. If you gear the kart 6:1 with a TC, in overdrive it will be 5.4 :1. 5000 RPM. 5.4 :1 Gear Ratio.With the governor taken out of the equation, your throttle cable spring can hold the throttle closed; then adjust your idle screw to open the throttle just enough to hold a steady idle rpm. This will at least let you determine whether the governor mod may be to blame. I'm not advocating the governor's removal here.
