So you've probably seen this problem before. The Aetherium Forge quest, also known as "Lost to the Ages", simply refuses to start. Here are all the details and questions that I have so that you might tell me, and many other people with the same problem. about a solution. It's from UESP. This quest may not start if, after installing Dawnguard, you have visited Mzulft or Deep Folk Crossing prior to reading The Aetherium Wars and the corpses at these locations have been fully removed from the game. This bug is fixed by version 2.0.1 of the Unofficial Dawnguard Patch. 2.

The game won't let me find the 3rd Aetherium shard in lost to the ages quest. So far I have 2 shards. When I go to my quest log and go to the lost to the ages part and click on it, the game won't go to maps and show me it's location. I can't interact with the quest all a sudden. I'm playing on 360. I don’t think it gives you the location.The guardians of the Aetherium forge are not spawning for me once I disable the steam valves. A few spiders spawn but that's it, even though enemies are supposed to come from all over the place. As a result, the stairs never come back effectively trapping you in the area.
