Rules are simple. You can skip playing through a single world. Youu will automatically be given the XP, loot, etc, you would have gotten from playing through the story. But in exchange, you must Re-play a world right after beating it. Being reset to the state you were at before the 1st play though. I tried looking for other random quests that may pop up and see if they're side quests, but they all are. I remember I didn't get too far into Khrysalis. I believe I'm in Part 1 still.
