The only beef that I've ever had with Ducati is the cost of parts. I don't think they'll ever rival the Japanese in terms of reliability, but they are built so much better now than they ever have been. Having said that, I just put pistons in a Monster 620 and each piston was $999, and each ring set was $150. The #1 has always been around in WSBK, in fact Rea used it for so long it seemed weird to see him using #65 again at the beginning of last year. But yeah, it's nice seeing #1 in MotoGP after a while. But, if you're on a budget and need a new Ducati, this one makes the most sense. The 1100 is a great bike, but again, the pricing feels like a kick in the balls. The Street Triple R is a great bike that's fairly priced, and has seen some incremental improvements over the last few years.
