The part where the water goes is empty I don't think it's full of water. Ok then it's likely a sensor fault then. I think it's the humidity sensor. you'd need to disassemble the unit to get at the humidity sensor, it looks like a small control board with little holes all in it that basically soak up the air around it.Switch off your dehumidifier and unplug it from the power supply. With a screwdriver, loose and remove the back panel of your dehumidifier. After doing this, you will notice two wires connected to the switch motor.
