Fall 2023. All new first-year students in the University Honors Program take one 189H seminar in the fall semester of their first year at UNL. These are extremely popular and students often reference these as among their favorite classes at UNL! All seminars are taught by excellent faculty who are passionate about Honors education.Honors seminars may not be waived. Studying abroad is a type of experiential learning which is most meaningful when accompanied by organized reflection. The purpose of the Study Abroad Waiver is to provide opportunity for this reflection.The Honors Seminar (HON) comprises 12 of the 50 credits of Honors College coursework that satisfies SOU's University Studies requirements. Learners must be admitted to the Honors College to enroll in the Honors Seminar courses.
