Issues of it coming on. Working on 2003 ram 1500 5.7 camshaft position sensor check the three wire on connect have 5v and ground but on the wire for cam sensor singal it.WOW, talk about crazy. I just through the P0344, 2500rpm max. I came in to check the code and saw this thread. So what do I do first? Do I test the sensor first to make sure its good before I buy magnet? The FIX: IMO: If you want the fix for sure get a BRAND NEW cam sensor and a cam sensor magnet from the dealer for the P0344 fix but with the P0340 and P0344 codes replace the crank sensor also, I had luck with that about a year ago. Be sure to disconnect your battery when putting in the magnet and CPS.

Ran the car with the cam position sensor disconnected. Hard starting, and misfire at 2500 rpm, P0340 and P0344 key dance codes. Tested the signals (multimeter) coming out of the cam position sensor with it plugged in and engine running.
