So since end of NG and all the way to finish NG+, i rocked exactly that, and Odachi Zero KI destroyer build, and happy to say it works pretty well. So the way the build works, is you use groundquake to deplete the KI, and then use Swirling Snow to keep the enemy stagger while doing alot of damage. The odachi is similar to the axe/hammer in that it is a slow but powerful weapon. The main difference is that it hits more people generally than the axe. If you like slow, powerful weapons, the odachi is fine.
