Mar 16, 2018. #1. We have a Hayward H400IDL2 pool heater that ignites and runs normally at start up. After about 10 minutes it begins to repeatedly cycle off and on before finally throwing an IF code. We've had multiple service calls from 2 different pool companies and have replaced the gas valve, flame sensor, igniter and control board.By carefully following these steps and additional advice, you should be able to effectively diagnose and resolve the AO code issue on your Hayward heater.
