The Association of American Universities (AAU) is a Washington, D.C.-based organization representing sixty-one of the most prestigious North American higher education institutions, fifty-nine in the United States and two in Canada. Membership is by invitation only, with an approximately 50 percent split between public and private institutions.And finally the last part is the schools at each university. I'd say Columbus is the most urban campus in the Big Ten and it doesn't even compare to a school like Pitt.
