Any water or condensation that ends up there will exit through the weep holes drilled in all corners. Even though the fiberglass will never rot, the elevated floor will keep your marine grade, rubber backed, snap-in carpet from getting musty or freezing.

It's basically a 6x6 square platform with 5 ft legs with a row of brace 2x4's 18in up from the bottom of the legs.
