I took the cap off and removed the bolt but its still stuck on there. Things i have tried to get the agitator off: > Filled the tub with HOT AS HELL water to see if it would loosen it. > Tried to pry it up with a screwdriver / crowbar ( covered with a rag) > Beat it with a wrench/hammer a bit to try and loosen it.You pop the top cap of the agitator, and remove the bolt down the center of the agitator below the cap you popped off. After that, the agitator is just held on by friction and build up. You'll need to get really good leverage, then grab the bottom of the agitator and lift straight up to pop the entire agitator off.

Update: When we initially reviewed the Maytag MVW7230HW ( available at AJ Madison ) , it was priced at over $1,000. Since then its price has fallen, making it a better value.
