You get sooooo many beginner blackstones it will all hit PEN super easy (for armor and weapons). Naru accessories really don't have a lot of value, the quested accessories are much better, and its worth it in my opinion to do the quests on at least one character to get them. Even fully upgraded, Naru isn't amazing though, and you'll get some other armor/accessories from those quest rewards that are just as good if not better. So don't worry about it too much.
