With HOIL functioning as it does, it makes it very easy to perpetually maintain the 2x recharge and strength bonus for melees and grenades. HOIL is an 800% regen buff basically perpetually and a 20% damage buff, without even needing a target. It's comically overtuned compared to basically every other ability buffing exotic. The community complained so loudly about HOIL that they got what they asked, on top of the already nerfed ability regen. The fact that Bungie didn't bother to buff any of the other Titan exotics to compensate is a massive slap in the face. Bungie, we only use HOIL because so many other titan exotics are worthless. Lorelys was absurdly strong for 2 seasons, and HoIL became spotlight because of how busted it is with Arc 3.0. You have had 2 absurdly op exotics (rn id say lorely isnt op tho) so far this year, one picked up right after the other. HoIL usage wont drop unless other exotics powercreep HoIL, or HoIL is nerfed (not into uselessness hopefully).
