This note was on the bottom of an email I got from Uber Support. I have heard the fine for not displaying the trade dress is $1000. Also if you have on of the lighted placards, you can not use it. The outward facing light is illegal. Yes you can. You need them for your airport most likely (check what the dress requirements are). I see maybe a handful of drivers with it. And 0 black drivers have them in Chicago.
